I've studied with W2IL for some time. The classes are fun and very informative, with my learning totally tailored towards my needs.

Lessons are simultaneously informative, stimulating and fun. A broad approach to grammar and vocabulary with a wide range of interesting topics for discussion or listening.

The classes cover a very wide range of topics with Italy, its culture, cuisine and people at the heart of everything. Students are often given topics to research and the results then form the basis for small group discussions. The emphasis is on discussion, in Italian wherever possible, and in addition videos, quizzes and articles from Italian newspapers and magazines provide material for wide-ranging discussions.There is also a regular book club in parallel, which has covered a very wide range of authors, often with an interview with the author.

I have studied with Patrizia both in the classroom (pre-covid) and online during the spring and summer of 2020. In both settings Patrizia is a very engaging teacher who encourages her students to participate at a level that they feel comfortable with. Patrizia handles a class of mixed abilities really well and I always come away from a lesson feeling that I’ve learned something useful and I always look forward to her sessions. Patrizia is really warm and friendly and really gets the best out of her pupils.
